Why No Gamer Should be Without QHD and UHD?

UHD and QHD are the future of the entertainment industry and we as gamers should start to consider these impressive resolutions. We explain why.

    What is QHD?

QHD is four times the definition of old standard 720p HD, meaning you can fit the same number of pixels as four HD displays into a QHD display of the same size, namely 2560 x 1440 pixels. With a stunning resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, Quad HD (QHD) offers superior picture quality and sharp imagery which captures all those tiny little details to truly ensure you have the best gaming experience.

    What is UHD?

When 1080p hit the market, it was revolutionary for its time. But since then, things have changed rapidly and we now have something even better, four times better to be exact, and we call it UHD. UHD resolution is 3840 x 2160 pixels. To put that into perspective, a full HD 1080p image only has a 1920x1080 resolution. UHD screens have about 8 million pixels, which is around four times what the current 1080p set can display. This imagery is nothing like you've ever seen before and will expose you to a whole new world.

    What is the difference?

The difference between QHD and UHD is the resolution: QHD is defined by a display resolution of 2560 x 1440. UHD, on the other hand, can display 3840 x 2160. However, both feature a 16:9 aspect ratio.

    The Future of Gaming

Whichever you choose, both options listed above mark a sizable jump over the previous generations. With QHD or UHD you will never miss an important detail in your game. Each of these resolutions will make your game look incredibly realistic, taking immersion to whole new levels. QHD and UHD offer such a sharp image, that you won't be able to notice single pixels with the naked eye like you would if you we're sitting close to a normal monitor with a lower resolution. Overall the in-game visuals are mind-blowing. It is without a doubt, an experience you will never be able to come back from. But QHD and UHD are not just about delivering you a whole new experience. These high-quality resolutions are also crucial for every competitive gamer since you won’t be losing any sharpness like you would when playing with a normal monitor.

Why should gamers consider QHD and UHD?

In a football simulation, you'll be able to follow the ball better than ever before and not just see a bunch of pixels flying through your monitor. Opponents are visible more clearly in shooters, which in and of itself can be an important advantage. Therefore, no matter the game you’re playing, a QHD or UHD monitor is unbeatable when it comes to enhancing your enjoyment as well as your experience. Overall UHD is a high-end resolution that will impress you like nothing else that has come before it. It provides sharp imagery and a truly realistic experience. While the resolution of QHD is not as high as UHD, it is still something gamers should bear in mind if they don’t want to be left behind. Common hardware couldn’t handle the resolution without sacrificing framerate significantly. The overall efficiency was way behind today’s modern standards. The improvements in the last few years have led to a flawless 4K experience for gamers.
