The original esports game is back!

The genesis of esports can be tied back to one game: Quake. Released in 1996, it was the first FPS to develop a thriving multiplayer community on the internet. Even 23 years later, there’s still no other game that requires more mechanical skill or quicker reactions than Quake

OGA has not forgotten and is celebrating the grandpa of esports with a special tournament – OGA Quake PIT 2. On February 16 and 17, eight of the world’s best duel players will compete for the title of OGA Quake PIT Champion and a grand total of 1,500 USD in prize money.

These are the participants:

  • Av3k
  • Cooller
  • K1llsen
  • Toxjq
  • Raisy
  • Cypher
  • Vengeur
  • Xron

The matches will be played in a best-of-five format. All four quarterfinals will be held on February 16. The semifinals, third-place match and ultimate showdown in the grand final will take place on February 17. The action will start at 4 P.M. respectively. Check it out on Twitch.

AOC will support OGA Quake PIT 2 as the official monitor partner. Quake’s lightning-fast gameplay calls for a display with a great response time and refresh rate. Look no further than our very own AG251FZ. It comes with a response time of 1ms and a refresh rate of 144hz to ensure that your FPS gameplay stays as quick and smooth as possible. Stay up to date with OGA Quake PIT via Facebook and Twitter.
